Objetivos

The main objective of the course is to understand the different concepts for the successful incorporation of fillers, pigments, additives or reinforcements in plastics and obtain the best possible properties in the final material.

 Specific Objectives

• Identify the essential concepts for optimum blending in each compound.

• Determine the most appropriate equipment for each blending process.

• Be able to design a new blending process and control the most important parameters in the production of a compound.

He is an experience polymer researcher specialized in compounding. Is his past years, he has worked as R&D project development as main or support researcher with plastic companies to modify or enhance polymer properties at different ambits, regional, national or European level. He has worked on several projects related to nanomaterials, biopolymers, flame retardancy, natural fibers, electrical conductivity and recycling. He has over 15 years of experience in processing all king of polymers, commodities, biopolymers- starch based, techical ones or high performance. He has given mor than 3000 hours of courses to companies dealing with compounding, additives, fillers, injection moulding and speeches in many seinars organized by AIMPLAS as well as speeches in different congress related with plastic modification ald recycling.
